How Particeep addresses data protection and GDPR regulation?
Regulation 2016/679, known as the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), constitutes the European reference text for the protection of personal data. It strengthens and unifies data protection for individuals within the European Union.
Particeep has implemented several procedures in order to guarantee its customers:
- GDPR Compliant solutions
- Protection of data used via the Particeep API
How Particeep complies with the GDPR directive
We have implemented several actions related to the main provisions of the GDPR directive:
- Harmonized framework and extraterritorial application: Particeep falls within this framework.
- Explicit and positive consent: on our white label platforms, the user has a checkbox at registration. A user cannot create an account without checking this box
- Right to erasure: any erasure request is made during the day. The data can also be deleted by the customer and by the administrator from their respective spaces.
- The right to data portability: this is one of the essential points of our API.
- Customer profiling: on our white label platforms, the customer is notified when the latter is subject to profiling. For API users only, it is their responsibility to perform this prior validation in their client interfaces.
- The principles of "data protection by design" and "security by default": Particeep uses the latest security standards (modern frameworks, https, encrypted passwords in the database, data hashing, etc .... ). In addition, our solution has been audited by the digital security teams of the company Econocom and pentests are regularly carried out.
- Notifications in the event of a data leak: This has never happened to this day. In the event of a problem with the Particeep API, customers are automatically notified
- The mandatory appointment of a data protection officer: Given the size of Particeep, this is a role carried by our technical director and by our hosting provider clevercloud which is also GDPR compliant.
- Privacy impact study: our teams work on drafting regulatory documents internally
